The Dhamma Sermon for Uduvap Full Moon Poya Day of the series of ‘Sadaham Yathra’ Damma Sermon was held at the Sri Vajiraramaya Temple in Bambalapitiya today (03) with participation of President Maithripala Sirisena.
The President who engaged in religious activities looked into the well-being of the Chief Incumbent Most Ven. Thrikunamale Ananda Thero , Mahanayaka of the Dharmarakshitha Chapter of Amarapura Nikaya. He also offered ata pirikara to Most. Ven. Thrikunamale Ananda Thero.
The President also opened the newly installed solar- energy system at the Temple.
Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala, Ministers Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Patali Champika Ranawaka, State Minister A.H.M. Fauzi, Members of Parliament, Wijedasa Rajapakse and Malith Jayathilaka, Provincial Council Minister Gamini Thilakasiri and Rosy Senanayake, public servants and others participated on this occasion.
The Dhamma sermon was delivered by Ven. Meegoda Sukitha Thera. Ministers and Parliamentarians were among the large gathering of devotees who attended the event.
